The Swope Manor Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located one block east of the town square in charming downtown Gettysburg, our historic inn offers the perfect location for easy strolling to local shops, restaurants, and attractions. Each morning, wake up to a delicious freshly prepared breakfast, served in our elegant dining room, a delightful start to your day.

We also offer convenient guest parking for check-in and check-out, with overnight parking available in the public garage right behind the Inn.

    Awesome B&B! All the B&Bs in Gettysburg have great reps but there are a few places we really enjoy like the Swope. It's clean, the staff is really nice. Love the rooms and the mattresses...most important!! Nice location to the city garage too!

    Fantastic bed and breakfast in the heart of Gettysburg! Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great and amenities were plentiful. Parking is easy with a public garage out back. Everyone was kind, respectful and welcoming. A large back deck provides plenty of outdoor space and large common rooms on the main level were a great spot to sit and read. Loved our short stay even though we live just over the mountain to the West

Meet the Carriage House and The Garden Chamber Suite

The Swopes built the property's carriage house around 1836 as they were completing the original part of the main house. Our luxuriously rustic Carriage House Suite would have housed two carriages. The Garden Chamber Suite is the second suite within the carriage house. To the rear of the building, one to two horses lived where we now have our quaintly appointed Garden Chamber. The Swopes would have used the upper level of the building to store the horses' hay.
